An exam is $129.00 which includes the Optomap. This price does not include contact lens evaluations or fittings.

What does Medicare pay towards exam and glasses?

Medicare does not pay for routine vision exams. Medicare does pay exams when a medical diagnosis requires it, therefore, Medicare patients are required to pay a refraction fee. Medicare does not pay for glasses except after cataract surgery.

What does Medicaid pay toward exams and glasses?

Effective August 2011, North Carolina Medicaid discontinued the adult Medicaid plan. No one 21 or older is covered for exams or glasses under Medicaid.

Do I have to make an appointment to pick out glasses?

No you can drop by any time during our normal office hours.
