Are there forms I need to bring with me?

Yes there are a few forms you will need to fill out and bring with you. These can be downloaded from the ONLINE FORMS page.

How much does an eye exam cost without insurance coverage?

An exam is $139.00 which includes the Optomap. This price does not include contact lens evaluations or fittings.

What insurances companies do you accept?

All major medical and vision insurances with the exception of Davis Vision.

What does Medicare pay towards exam and glasses?

Medicare does not pay for routine vision exams. Medicare does pay exams when a medical diagnosis requires it, therefore, Medicare patients are required to pay a refraction fee. Medicare does not pay for glasses except after cataract surgery.

What does Medicaid pay toward exams and glasses?

North Carolina Medicaid covers and exam and glasses for adults over 21 every 2 years and children every year.

Do I have to make an appointment to pick out glasses?

No you can drop by any time during our normal office hours.
